The National Society's Special Educational Needs Fellowship is open to individuals, schools or institutions of further and higher education. It is a major publishing initiative which will support teachers of pupils with special educational needs in both special and mainstream schools.
The Fellowship is worth £5,000 and runs during the academic year.
The areas of Special Educational Needs that fall within the aegis of the Fellowship are: Religious Education, Christian Education, Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural Development (or any of those separately), School Worship or Church Schools.
The Society is most concerned that the fellowship should relate directly to schools and their management or the work of teachers and pupils. The Fellowship will produce material which is accessible to teachers and headteachers.
