'The Certificate is a useful additional qualification. For students on BAEd or PGCE programmes, it supplements professional training and is relevant if you are thinking of teaching in the (Anglican) church school sector. For students on the BA Combined Honours programme, taking TRS as your second subject in year 1 would give you this qualification even if you dropped TRS in year 2. It is also an opportunity to undertake a study of religion in an open and investigative way and useful for anyone intending to go on to do a PGCE.'

'The MA in Religion combines Religious Studies and theological approaches to the study of the rhetoric and practices of death as understood, experienced and responded to in a variety of religious traditions as well as within contemporary popular culture.'
Secondary Religious EducationPGCEPart time:
The programme is designed to give students the theoretical knowledge and professional skills to teach RE in the secondary school. Flexibility is its key feature. Students may prepare to teach the 11-16 or 11-18 age ranges. They will also have opportunities to gain Masters level credit for some modules.
