Reports on SACRE contributions to RE and Collective Worship

The National Association of SACREs (NASACRE) website holds a number of downloadable publications on the work of effective Standing Advisory Councils on Religious Education (SACREs). These include training materials for SACRE members, a survey of good practice and a SACRE self-evaluation toolkit. See www.nasacre.org.uk/publications.html for details.

In past years, the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) – latterly the Qualifications and Curriculum Development Agency (QCDA) – produced an annual analysis of the SACRE reports for the previous year. The most recent publication, in August 2008, was of the reports made in 2006-07. It can be downloaded as a pdf here.

There have been no further analyses since then, though SACREs are still obliged to produce an annual report on their business. There is a plan to house future annual reports on the NASACRE website.
