National Association of Standing Advisory Councils on RE

The association aims to assist SACREs to fulfil their duties; to represent their concerns to other bodies; to assist in the training and consultation of SACRE members; to encourage the development of SACREs; and to undertake other activities to benefit RE and collective worship.

NASACRE's major role is inter-communication between local SACREs and national RE organisations. It runs AGMs which regularly host a keynote speaker on a contemporary RE issue. Annual forums are hosted where major RE issues are presented by a range of speakers (including school pupils as well as national figures). A newsletter is produced each term, covering both national issues and news from local SACREs.

This organisation is a member of the RE Council.
