Christian Aid is a Christian organisation that insists the world can and must be swiftly changed to one where everyone can live a full life, free from poverty. It works globally for profound change that eradicates the causes of poverty, striving to achieve equality, dignity and freedom for all, regardless of faith or nationality and is part of a wider movement for social justice.

Christian Aid provides urgent, practical and effective assistance where need is great, tackling the effects of poverty as well as its root causes.

Its education materials are designed to help teachers explore a range of global development issues. Resources include:

  • monthly assemblies on topical global issues
  • Global Explorers: an interactive whiteboard resource for primary schools
  • Just Living: a GCSE resource exploring the work of a faith-based charity
  • simulation games to explore fair trade
All resources can be downloaded for free from the Learn website - learn.christianaid.org.uk
