The Damaris Trust is an educational charity with a Christian foundation and aims to help people relate Christian faith and contemporary culture.
RE resources produced for secondary RE/RS include www.relessonsonline.com, President for a Day and The Quest.
RE Lessons Online has been written specifically to meet the needs of teachers, providing culturally up-to-date, active-learning resource material for secondary Religious Education. The aim is for students to find the study of Christianity in RE more stimulating, engaging and enjoyable.
President for a Day is a multimedia CD-ROM game which enables players to take the role of President of an African country and lead it from independence to the present day. See www.presidentforaday.org (this is also provided as a conference).
The Quest is a CD-ROM that installs on a PC and acts like an interactive oracle. It enables pupils to ask questions about the big philosophical and religious issues in life, and provides a range of answers from videos, to simple paragraphs to scholarly essays - even whole books. The Quest will never run out because each month it is updated free of charge, with many more questions and answers. See www.questforanswers.com.
Damaris also provide 6th form conferences which help students articulate and think through their own personal beliefs; encourage students to consider the beliefs of others; teach students what Christians believe and encourage them to question the truth and adequacy of Christian belief.

The Global Student Forum exists to enable school students, of all faiths and none, to think carefully about the spiritual and moral issues underlying global citizenship, and to help others to do the same - see www.globalstudentforum.org
Damaris has also launched www.assembliesonline.com, a subscription service, for both primary and secondary schools, linking the latest films, music and TV to biblical stories.
