Christian Education

Christian Education develops opportunities and resources for lifelong learning, focusing on religious faith and its implications in a multicultural society. It is a service provider rather than a grant-making charity tracing its roots back to 1803.

The charity supports the work of RE teachers in schools and works closely with the subject teachers' association the National Association of Teachers of Religious Education. Christian Education publishes teaching and learning materials for use with children, young people and adults in churches, particularly through a separate charity Roots for Churches. Christian Education also administers the Montgomery Trust providing theologically based lectures for schools, colleges and societies. The charity publishes under the imprints RE Today Services, British Journal of Religious Education, International Bible Reading Association and Christian Education Publications.

Help available: RE Today Services termly subscription mailing package of teacher resources; RE publications; in-service training and advisory services for schools; and publications for working with children, young people and adults within the church context.
